Did you know that you can speak to your GP about getting a Mental Health Care Plan? This can cover some of the cost for Psychology supports for a number of sessions each year. Please note, Medicare benefits cannot be claimed for Provisional Psychologists or Counsellors.
If you are supported under the NDIS, you can use your funding for psychology therapeutic supports at Hunter Holistix via telehealth or here at our Newcastle location. We have extensive experience working with clients supported by the NDIS and are a registered NDIS provider. We also run social and therapy groups for a range of ages.
Sessions run for 50 - 60 minutes each.
Some private health funds will also cover partial costs for Psychology and Hypnotherapy. Speak to your provider to find out more.
Prices may differ for concession card holders.
Please note that Hypnotherapy and couples therapy are not covered under Medicare.
